Voyages for Groups

Every member of the crew is encouraged to participate in cooking, cleaning and keeping the boat tidy and safe and also sailing and navigating the vessel. Our voyages are a lifetime event. Feedback and research shows that it builds confidence, self esteem and gives participants a peak experience.

We like to partner with other organisations to provide a bespoke programme appropriate to their needs. We can cater people with high anxiety or behavioural issues by doing a week of day sails from our Northney base with the young people going home to their own beds at night. The aim of such weeks is that we might get one night away at anchor or further afield at another marina.

Your voyage might be for a weekend starting on Friday 18.00 through to Sunday 16.00. If you wish for longer we can plan for any number of days up to 10. We start at 10.00 am on day one and aim to finish at 16.00 on the last day.

We plan with you. If a destination is possible within your time frame then subject to weather and tides we will do our best to take you there.

The South Coast of England offers great sailing and destinations. We also visit France and the Channel Islands.

The Isle of Wight and the Solent offer many interesting places to visit and little creeks in which to anchor.

What kind of experience is required?

We take people who have never stepped on a boat before through to very experienced people. All voyages are planned in accordance with the level of ability in a given crew.

What is included?

We supply all the food eaten on board or for picnics ashore, safety and wet weather gear (not footwear). Marina fees and fuel are all included so once you have booked and paid you need not worry about other expenses.

How do I book?

As each group is unique we ask you to either email bookings@mst.org.uk and register an interest or telephone 01243 908026 during office hours.  Once you have booked we set up a bespoke booking page for your group where participants can register and pay. This helps to ensure we have all the correct information about participants before the voyage starts.

We look forward to speaking to you and helping to plan your group voyage.

What do we offer?

With 42 years providing exciting voyages for groups we know how to provide quality bespoke voyages for groups. By using a combination of vessels we are able to take groups of 5, 11,12 or 17. Sailing in company is great fun.

Youth Workers are invited to join us with their group and they come free. In the past we have taken scouts, church youth groups, baptism and confirmation groups, refugees, young offenders, young people excluded from school, adult church groups and many more. If the voyage is more than 5 days then there maybe opportunity to gain RYA certificates of competence as crew and Day Skipper.
