Summer Adventure voyages normally include longer offshore journeys, often involving spending the night at sea, as well as the opportunity to visit remote places and spend time exploring them.
In many years we also take part in races or events such as the Tall Ships Races or Small Ships Races along with other sail training vessels crewed by young people. These events mix challenging offshore sailing with social and cultural activites for crews, arranged by the host ports.

Channel Islands Adventure (1)
29th July 2023 to 7th August 2023
This will take us, with two yachts cruising in company, from Northney to Plymouth with a plan (weather permitting) to visit some Channel Island Ports. This involves crossing and re-crossing the English Channel. Its roughly a day each way and adds serious miles to your logbook. The Channel Islands present some interesting navigational challenges for those who want to sharpen these skills. Having two equally matched yachts means that there can be some informal competition between the boats. It also means that there is a greater number of people to socialise with whilst in port.
Please note you must have some sailing experience. If you are under 18 then please arrange for your parent or guardian to have a discussion a member of staff in our office before booking.
Scilly Islands and West Country Adventure Voyage
9th August 2023 to 18th August 2023
This will start at Plymouth sailing two yachts cruising in company. With the intention, weather permitting, to explore the archipelago of the Isles of Scilly. On the way back (and if weather prevents us getting there) there are some lovely harbours on the Devon and Cornnwall coasts to explore. This voyage will give serious miles to your logbook, engage you in the decision-making processes of assessing weather conditions and give some interesting navigational conundrums. The boats returning up the coast will return to Falmouth when we may well see the start of the Tall Ships Race.
Please note you must have some sailing experience. If you are under 18 then please arrange for your parent or guardian to have a discussion a member of staff in our office before booking.
